Boasting arguably the best dining location in Tasmania, the Lobster Shack is a boutique, farmgate style eatery overlooking the majestic ‘Gulch’ in Bicheno, where Lobster really is the hero!

Born into the Tasmanian seafood industry, owners Sara and Marcus were destined to create a unique culinary experience. Winner of the 2019 Best Seafood Restaurant Experience at the Tasmanian Seafood Industry Council Awards, The Lobster Shack provides a truly authentic ‘ocean-to-plate’ experience.

Marcus launches his boat just metres from the front door, providing patrons with delicious Tasmanian seafood so fresh you can smell and taste the sea salt! While the panoramic deck provides spectacular views over the pristine waters of the picturesque boat harbour, the upstairs maritime museum offers a visual narrative of Tasmania’s historic commercial fishing industry and details how Bicheno has expanded into the thriving fishing port it is today.

A range of fresh seafood products is available for purchase from the display cabinet, while a live fish tank allows customers to choose their own fresh Tasmanian Rock Lobsters, it doesn’t get better than this.
